By car from the A12, coming from the west
Walk up the stairs from the west-end of the Vineyard Street Car Park, turn right through the passage then turn right into Eld Lane. The Church is about 30 yards on the left. By car from the A12, coming from the north Follow the road along and pick up the route as above from the point highlighted in pale blue (the next roundabout you will come to). We do have a small car park outside the front of the church which is accessible on Sundays. For your first visit it may be easier to use a public car park as it is not easy to find, but if you would like to try... Follow the instructions as above. When you get to Southway roundabout, take the first exit and get into the left hand lane. At the lights, filter left into Head Street and then get into the right hand lane. Go across the next set of lights and the pelican crossing and then turn right at the next lights into High Street. Follow High Street down until you see JJB Sports on your right. Take the small road immediately after JJB Sports past Jack's store and then go ahead down Long Wyre Street. It's pedestrianised during working hours Mon-Sat but is accessible on Sundays. At the bottom of the street turn sharp right (watch the bollard on your right) and drive up Eld Lane. The church is on the right as the street opens out.

By train |

By train to Colchester Station Liverpool Street station to Colchester Station takes approx 50 minutes but check on Sunday rail services. Colchester Station is on the mainline from London to Norwich and is about 1.5.north of the town. It is not to be confused with Colchester Town Station (see below). Take a bus into Colchester from the station and get off at Town Hall. Alternatively, take a taxi to the Red Lion pub in the High Street and follow the route as above. By train to Colchester Town Station Colchester Town Station is at the south east corner of the town centre and the Church is about a quarter of a mile from the Church. It is on a branch line so has a more limited service then trains to Colchester Station. Turn right out of the station and keep bearing right, going up St Botolphs Street. |
